As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of components, materials, and supplies required for the manufacture of robotic and automation systems. This role blends strategic procurement with hands-on involvement in logistics, shipping, and receiving operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchasing
- Source and purchase raw materials, mechanical/electrical components, hardware, and indirect supplies in support of production schedules
- Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) through ERP/MRP systems (Total ETO)
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and terms
- Identify and qualify new vendors; maintain an approved supplier list
- Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, cost)
- Support engineering and operations with new product introduction (NPI) sourcing
2. Logistics, Shipping & Receiving
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight (couriers, LTL, full truckload, international)
- Manage customs documentation and import/export compliance (CBSA, HS codes, USMCA/CUSMA)
- Liaise with freight brokers and carriers to optimize cost and delivery timelines
- Oversee receiving process — verify incoming shipments against POs, resolve discrepancies
3. Inventory & Planning Support
- Work with production planning, PM’s to align procurement with build schedules
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess
- Expedite critical or late deliveries to keep production on track
- Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory
- Maintain accurate records of inventory receipts and delivery confirmations
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination and paperwork
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., ETO, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and Canadian customs procedures
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Forklift license
- Experience in robotics, automation, electronics, or precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical components and BOMs (Bills of Materials)
Physical & Safety Tasks
All applicants must be able to perform the following tasks as part of their player-coach operational responsibilities:
- Walk up to 5 km per day during manufacturing floor oversight and plant walkthroughs.
- Stand and work at heights or navigate tight operational environments during commissioning phases.
- React quickly to visual and auditory factory alerts.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety footwear, safety eyewear, vests, and high-visibility gear during site visits.
