Ready Systems is a preferred supplier of custom manufacturing automation equipment, assembly lines, palletizing systems, material handling systems, overhead conveyor lines and robot integration. We work with the Automotive, Consumer Products, and Packaging industries.
We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Design Engineer.
A University Degree or College Diploma is preferred, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Control Systems, Automation, and Robotics industry.
Position Overview
You will be part of the Electrical Design / Estimating Department, responsible for the design of Electrical systems and devices. The position responsibilities include:
Electrical Design:
- Design of machine control software and programming of automation systems.
- Develop and maintain custom and standard designs – and expand on the current library.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation and user manuals.
- Develop new standards and equipment.
- Program a combination of various automation technologies (robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc.) into highly integrated systems.
Sales Support:
- In concepting of equipment, EOAT (end of arm tool) for quotation purposes.
- Estimate mechanical, automation portion of quotations.
- Secure pricing of components for the quotation process.
- Support Sales department in onsite customer reviews and concept meetings.
Material Procurement
- Specify purchased and manufactured equipment from outside suppliers. (mechanical).
- Release orders to purchasing of these material and equipment.
- Ensure timelines of purchased and manufactured equipment to meet expected deliveries.
- Secure pricing of components for purchase.
Project Management
- Assist in developing timelines and schedule for projects with other departments
- Assist in keeping timelines for projects with production and purchasing
- Attend Onsite customer meetings
- Work with Microsoft project and excel for scheduling
Schedule/Location
- Regular full-time working hours consist of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Determined by the departmental supervisors to meet organizational demands. Overtime maybe required on a project-to-project basis.
- The position is based out of our office in Burlington, Ontario. The position may require some traveling within Canada, US, and Mexico. A valid Canadian Passport and drivers license are required.

We are looking to grow our team again. Are you a 309a licensed Electrician with 6 plus years of background in Automation and Robotics?
Ready Systems was founded in 2007 and is a preferred supplier of custom automation, material handling and robotic system integration in the automotive and general industries. The job is based out of Burlington, ON.
What We Are Looking For
We require a self-starter to perform a multitude of tasks, from wiring conveyor lines to building control panels. You will be responsible alongside your teammates for the installation, replacement and repair of all electrical equipment and components related to the systems we are producing. This includes equipment related to the assembly lines, the control systems, power, and lighting systems as well as the configuration of PLC’s, etc. You will, amongst other tasks, check and measure voltage, loads, grounding faults and circuit integrity. A valid driver’s license and a clean CND, USA or Mexico passport are required for travel when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Licensed 309a Electrician with Robotic and Automation background
- Must have CN/ US or MX Passport to travel when needed
- Clean driving abstract
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral communication skills
- Extensive knowledge in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Good problem-solving skills

Schedule
Full-time Monday to Friday, Overtime when needed and availability to travel into the US.
